You've just found him!
Captain Ron Smith (USCG OUPV Certified) will use his Professional walleye and bass tournament fishing experience to identify the best possible presentations and locations to assure you have a successful fishing experience. Ron is all about customer service.
Ron guides primarily for Walleye and Smallmouth bass. However, it's not unusual to catch 8-10 different species of fish in a day on the St. Croix river. The St. Croix has it all:
• Smallmouth Bass
• Blue Gills
• White Bass
• Channel Catfish
• Behemoth Flathead
Ron, wanted to thank you again for a wonderful day. We both had a ton of fun. Vanessa has never caught walleyes that quick, like that. You run a top notch Guide Service.

After years of teaching my son how not to fish (mostly an exercise in casting) we took a chance with a guided tour with Captain Ron. Not only was Ron a wonderful host and easy to talk with, his experience was evident as we caught about 15-20 fish that day. He openly shared all kinds of tips with us and made us believe we could probably catch fish on our own now. I strongly recommend Capt. Ron if you are looking for a great personable guide who will catch you some fish.

Ron, thanks for a great time. Both of the boys had an excellent experience. That was the most productive trip that either of them have ever had. Trey commented to me that that was his best birthday ever. It will be fun to tell people that it was a 10 and an 11 year old that caught all the fish. I will definitely pass your name along should the opportunity present itself; and we certainly would not hesitate to go out with you again. If you keep records of the most bites ever in a day of fishing, Kyle would likely hold that one for quite some time.
